I have passed through Rome several times quickly leaving for other parts of Italy, but in January I finally got the chance to stay for a some days in this breathtaking city. Walking all steps up the dome of St Peters Basilica, fighting my way through crowds of selfie-making tourists at the Trevi fountain, being overwhelmed by quality and quantity of art at the Vatican Museum, watching great photo exhibitions, getting my hands dirty eating pizza al taglio... and simply enjoying one of the most impressive and beautiful cities I have ever experienced.
